The Natural Resource Brand Community is the nonprofit arm of the Natural Resource Brand — a 501(c)(3) public charity organized in October 2020 around teacher appreciation, teacher best practices, and overall teacher well-being.
The Why.
The Natural Resource Brand is built on one belief: the greatest natural resource on the planet is people. NRBC puts that belief to work through three pillars — supporting educators, developing young leaders, and mobilizing the community around both.

Brandon Watts, M.Ed.
Originally from Pasadena, CA, Brandon is the founder and chairperson of The Natural Resource Brand and The Natural Resource Brand Community — both anchored in creating conditions for learning through life’s most valuable and rich resource: YOU. His mission is to bring the HUMANITY back into these spaces. Brandon has dedicated 19+ years to servant leadership across Texas districts including Irving ISD, Lewisville ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Plano ISD, and Uplift Education, where he serves as Manager of Character, Conduct and Support.
A proud member and volunteer at One Community Church, Brandon has been a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity since 2004, serving the Alpha Iota Iota Chapter as Fatherhood & Mentoring Committee Chair. He earned his B.A.A.S. from the University of North Texas in 2006 — where a work-study program serving Denton ISD schools sparked his calling to education — became a licensed Texas teacher through the Region 10 Alternative Certification Program in 2007, and earned his Master’s in Education Administration from Texas Woman’s University in 2012. The rest is still being written.
Whitney Tolliver, M.A.T.
Educator, nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for the well-being of educators, students, and communities. A Wichita, Kansas native, Whitney holds a B.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education, and a Building-Level Leadership Certification from Wichita State University. She has served as a classroom teacher and assistant principal across Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Dallas ISD, Uplift Education, and Wichita Public Schools.
Whitney founded The Teacher Retreat — now NRBC’s educator wellness program — and All Things Well Collective, a wellness business helping individuals and teams build healthier approaches to work, rest, and workplace culture. As Executive Director, she guides NRBC’s strategy, programming, partnerships, and community impact.
